Yay! I had no idea we did so horrible in the past two Euro Cups! At least we did better in the World Cup two years ago and in 2002.
Viviane, me too! The good performance at the World Cup made me forget about Germany's past international tournament disasters. But commentators keep mentioning it over and over and over again now, so it's easier to remember. :)
They'd better do well - I've got £1 on them in the office Euro Cup pool. Them or Holland, and I'll be dancing through the streets with my £10 note....
....
Possibly I need to get out more.
Jul, I'm a wee bit disappointed that you didn't translate the sign in the church window for all your German-challenged readers.
It seems to indicate that the Holy Ghost is playing goalie, while God the Father and Jesus are bearing down on you from behind, just as you are trying to score a goal.
Many amongst us must feel that the Holy Trinity is playing against us. Even if you haven't, as have I, actively joined the opposing team.
Mikeachim - good luck winning the big bucks!
Headbang - Thank you! I've been waiting for someone to notice my lovely photo. Given that it was a church bulletin board, I kind of wondered why they were presenting the holy trinity as the opposing team...
